Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 29, 2026
Last Updated: May 29, 2026

Budget Holdings, LLC, doing business as American Window Film ("American Window Film," "AWF," "we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through this Privacy Policy. This Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit americanwindowfilm.com and any other websites, forms, or digital properties we operate that link to this Policy (collectively, the "Site"), contact us, or engage with our advertising.

By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal information in the categories defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). The categories we collect, and the types of information within each, include:

A. Identifiers

  • Name, email address, mailing or street address, telephone number
  • Internet Protocol (IP) address, device identifiers, cookie IDs, advertising identifiers
  • Hashed identifiers: when you have submitted your email address or phone number through our forms, we may generate a SHA-256 hash of that identifier for use in offline conversion measurement with our advertising partners (see Section 5). No cleartext (unencrypted) email or phone number is transmitted to those platforms.

B. Commercial Information

  • Records of services requested or received (for example, window film quote requests, project type, service location)
  • Transaction history if you have engaged AWF for installation services

C. Internet or Other Electronic Network Activity

  • Browser type and version, operating system, device type
  • Pages viewed, links clicked, time on page, referring URLs, and other interaction data collected through cookies and tracking technologies
  • Form submissions and any information you type into our contact or quote-request forms

D. Approximate Geolocation Data

  • City and region-level location inferred from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS coordinates through the Site.

E. Inferences

  • Profiles drawn from the categories above to understand preferences and likely service interests (for example, whether a visitor is more likely seeking residential or commercial window film services)

F. Professional or Employment-Related Information

  • Your company or organization name, and the role or relationship to a project that you select on our forms (for example, homeowner, business owner or executive, commercial property owner, property manager, facilities manager, project manager, architect, interior designer, energy consultant, real estate broker, purchasing or procurement staff, accounting or billing staff, administrative staff, or government or public official)

How We Collect This Information

  • Directly from you: when you fill out a quote request, contact form, or SMS/email opt-in form
  • Automatically: through cookies, tracking pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies when you visit the Site (see Section 4)
  • From third parties: advertising and analytics platforms such as Google and Meta may provide us with aggregated or matched data derived from your interactions with our ads

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Providing and fulfilling services: processing quote requests, scheduling installations, communicating about your project, and managing your customer relationship
  • Marketing and communications: sending you promotional emails, SMS text messages (where you have opted in), and other marketing content about our services and offers
  • Advertising and measurement: delivering and measuring the effectiveness of our advertising on platforms including Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram); this includes uploading hashed identifiers to those platforms for offline conversion matching as described in Section 5
  • Analytics and site improvement: understanding how visitors use the Site so we can improve content, navigation, and performance
  • Security: detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
  • Legal compliance: complying with applicable laws, regulations, legal process, and enforcement requests; protecting our rights and property

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies on the Site. This section explains what these technologies are, which third-party platforms we use, what data is collected, and how you can control tracking.

What These Technologies Do

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Pixels and web beacons are small image files or JavaScript code embedded in web pages that fire when the page loads and communicate information to a server. Together, these tools help us:

  • Recognize returning visitors
  • Understand how users navigate the Site
  • Measure advertising performance
  • Serve relevant advertising on third-party platforms

Tracking Technologies We Use

We currently use, or are in the process of implementing, the following third-party tracking technologies:

  • Google Analytics (GA4): Web analytics. Collects page views, session data, device and browser information, and approximate geolocation. Google processes this data under its own privacy terms. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Google Ads Conversion Tags and Enhanced Conversions: Advertising measurement. Google Ads tags report when a Site visitor completes a form submission after clicking a Google ad. Google Enhanced Conversions may use hashed contact information (email or phone) to improve conversion matching accuracy. See Google's Ads Data Processing Terms for details.
  • Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API: Advertising measurement and delivery. The Meta Pixel fires when you visit certain pages of the Site and reports that interaction to Meta (Facebook, Instagram). The Meta Conversions API sends similar signals server-side, reducing reliance on browser-based tracking. Both tools help us measure ad performance and reach relevant audiences on Meta platforms. See Meta's privacy policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
  • OpenAI Advertising (planned): We plan to use ChatGPT-related advertising products in the near future. When active, those tags will be disclosed by update to this Policy.
  • Other service providers: We may use additional analytics, performance monitoring, or support tools that use cookies or similar technologies. We will update this section as new providers are activated.

Cookie Consent

We are implementing a consent management platform (consent banner) that will allow you to accept or reject non-essential cookies and tracking technologies before they fire. Until that mechanism is fully deployed, you may use the controls below to limit tracking.

Your Controls

  • Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or delete cookies already stored on your device. See your browser's help documentation for instructions. Note that disabling cookies may affect Site functionality.
  • Google Analytics opt-out: You may install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Google Ads personalization: Manage Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com.
  • Meta ad preferences: Manage Meta ad settings at facebook.com/settings.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): We are committed to honoring the GPC signal as required by California law. The GPC is a browser-level signal that communicates your preference to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information. We are actively implementing automated GPC detection on the Site. While that technical implementation is in progress, you may also submit a manual opt-out request at any time using the contact methods in Section 9.
  • Your consent banner: Once our consent management platform is live, you will be able to manage your preferences through the cookie preference center on the Site.

4. How We Share Your Information

Service Providers and Processors

We share personal information with companies that perform services on our behalf (service providers or processors). These include providers of customer relationship management software (such as Zoho), website hosting, email delivery, analytics, and customer support tools. Service providers are permitted to use your personal information only to perform services for AWF and are contractually required to maintain confidentiality and appropriate security.

We also use service providers that provide artificial intelligence and data analysis capabilities, including Anthropic (Claude). Data processed by such providers under commercial enterprise terms is not used to train AI models and is subject to short retention periods and data processing agreements that restrict secondary use.

Advertising and Analytics Partners

As described in Section 3, we share information with Google and Meta in connection with advertising measurement, retargeting, and analytics. This sharing may constitute "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CPRA, even though we do not receive money in exchange for your personal information.

When we use offline conversion matching, we provide SHA-256 hashed email addresses or phone numbers to Google and Meta. These are one-way cryptographic hashes, meaning the platforms receive a hashed value (not cleartext email or phone). Any user who has opted out of sale or sharing, or whose browser or device sends a Global Privacy Control signal, is excluded from offline conversion uploads.

Important Clarification Regarding Sale of Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information for money to third parties. However, our use of advertising and analytics technologies described in this Policy may constitute "sharing" of personal information under California law. You have the right to opt out of this sharing. See Section 9 for how to exercise that right.

Legal Process and Safety

We may disclose personal information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required to: (a) comply with applicable law, regulation, or valid legal process; (b) protect the rights or property of AWF; or (c) protect the safety of our users, employees, or the public in an urgent situation.

Business Transfers

If AWF is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or similar business transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before personal information is subject to a different privacy policy.

5. SMS and Text Messaging Program

AWF operates an SMS text messaging program for transactional and marketing communications.

  • How you opt in: You opt in to SMS messages by checking the SMS consent box on a Zoho form on our Site or by otherwise affirmatively requesting text communications. Opting in to SMS is not a condition of purchasing any AWF service.
  • Message frequency: Message frequency varies depending on your service status and marketing preferences. You may receive transactional messages related to your quote or installation and, separately, promotional offers.
  • Message and data rates: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless carrier plan.
  • How to opt out: Reply STOP to any SMS message from AWF at any time to opt out. Under current FCC rules (effective April 2025), you may also opt out by any other reasonable method, including emailing us at info@awfilm.com, calling (949) 770-8969, or submitting a written request to our address below. We will process opt-out requests promptly.
  • Help: Reply HELP for help or contact us at info@awfilm.com.
  • Carrier liability: Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Terms: SMS participation is subject to our Terms of Service at americanwindowfilm.com/terms-of-service and this Privacy Policy.

6. Email Marketing

If you have provided your email address and consented to marketing communications, we may send you promotional emails about our services and offers. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You may also opt out of marketing emails at any time by emailing info@awfilm.com with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line. Opting out of marketing emails does not affect transactional communications related to services you have requested.

7. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA and CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights with respect to your personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

Categories of Personal Information Collected in the Last 12 Months

  • Approximate geolocation (city and region)
  • Inferences derived from the above

Categories of Sources

  • Directly from you (forms, calls, emails)

  • Legal authorities when required by law
  • Successors in interest in a business transfer

  • Right to Delete: You may request deletion of personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions (for example, information we are required to retain by law or need to complete a transaction you requested).
  • Right to Correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing: You may direct us not to sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. See Section 9.
  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information (as defined by the CPRA) beyond the purposes permitted without this right applying. If that changes, we will update this Policy and provide a mechanism to limit such use.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. We will not deny you services, charge you different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised your rights under California law.

How to Exercise Your Rights

To submit a request to know, delete, or correct, or to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, contact us by:

  • Email: info@awfilm.com (subject line: "California Privacy Request")
  • Phone: (949) 770-8969
  • Mail: Budget Holdings, LLC dba American Window Film, Attn: Privacy Requests, 23042 Mill Creek Dr, Laguna Hills, CA 92653
  • Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: Use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" control in our website cookie-preferences banner, or email us using the address above. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out request.

Verification

We are required to verify your identity before fulfilling a request to know or delete. We will use information you provide to match against our records. We may request additional information if needed to verify your identity. We will not retain verification information beyond what is necessary for that purpose.

Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf. Authorized agents must provide written permission signed by you and may be required to verify their own identity. We may still contact you directly to verify the request.

Response Timing

We will acknowledge receipt of a verifiable consumer request within 10 business days and respond to the request within 45 calendar days. If we need more time, we will notify you of the reason and the extension (up to an additional 45 days).

Global Privacy Control

We recognize the Global Privacy Control (GPC) as a valid opt-out signal for the sale and sharing of personal information as required by California law. We are actively implementing automated GPC detection. While in progress, please submit a manual opt-out request using the methods above and we will honor it promptly.

8. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

You have the right under California law to opt out of the "sharing" of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (which includes our use of advertising pixels and offline conversion matching with Google and Meta). We do not sell your personal information for money.

To opt out, use any of the following methods:

  • Email opt-out (available now): Send an email to info@awfilm.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" and include your name, email address, and if applicable the phone number you used when contacting AWF. We will process your request and exclude your information from future advertising sharing activities.
  • Cookie preferences: You can opt out of advertising cookies and tracking by selecting "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" or "Manage Preferences" in our website cookie banner.
  • Global Privacy Control: If your browser or browser extension sends a GPC signal, we are committed to honoring it. Automated detection is in progress; use the email method above for immediate effect.

We do not condition your use of our services or any discount or rate on whether you exercise this right.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including providing services you have requested, maintaining our business records, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements. When personal information is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete or anonymize it. Specific retention periods vary by type of information and applicable legal requirement.

10. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include access controls, encryption where appropriate, and employee training on data handling. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please notify us immediately at info@awfilm.com.

11. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 16 without appropriate consent, we will delete that information promptly.
