Ceramic Window Tint Installation at a Residence in Laguna Beach, California

American Window Film did a ceramic window tint installation at a gorgeous residence in Laguna Beach, California! As you can see from the photos below, the home has spectacular ocean views and large glass windows and doors to utilize those views as much as possible. However, one major downside of large glass windows and doors in Southern California is the heat and glare they let in. This particular customer was having a problem with extreme heat and glare in the master bedroom and bathroom and was looking for a solution without having to cover up the glass and compromise the ocean views. This homeowner already has existing window film installed to the glass in these rooms, but felt it wasn’t high performing enough. The customer researched window film companies near them to see if there was a higher-performing one out there that would do the trick when they came across American Window Film’s website. The customer reached out to us for a free, no-obligation consultation!

American Window Film's Goals

American Window Film’s goal for this project was to help the customer solve their heat and glare issue with a high-performance window film. To do this, one of our sales representatives out of our Orange County office met with the customer at the home to take a look at the master bedroom and bathroom and provide suggestions on a window film that might be a good fit for the home. When our sales representative met the customer at their home, he first asked what they were looking to get out of window film, specifically. The homeowner explained that the master bedroom and bathroom have severe heat and glare problems. They currently have a window film installed, but it doesn’t help with the heat and glare enough. The customer also expressed that their biggest priority was to not cover up or lose the views of the ocean. They also wanted a window film that isn’t going to drastically change the look of the home because they were only interested in getting window film installed to the glass in the master bedroom and bathroom.

American Window Film's Recommendations

After meeting with the customer and learning more about the details of the project, our sales representative made a few suggestions for window films he thought might be a good fit for this home. One of the window film lines he suggested was the Huper Optik ceramic window tint line. He suggested any window film in this line because they are high performing and reduce maximum amounts of heat and glare. The ceramic window tint line also contains no metal or dyes, which means the aesthetics are going to be the same and it is safe to install on glass that is close to the ocean. From there, our sales representative showed the customer samples of the ceramic window tint in this line so they could hold it up to the glass and learn about the specific benefits of them.

What the Customer Chose

After the customer met with our sales representative and heard what window films he recommends for this project, the homeowner decided to take his suggestion! They decided to move forward with the Huper Optik ceramic window tint line, specifically ceramic 40 (C40). This ceramic window tint blocks 55% of heat, 53% of glare, and 99% of ultraviolet rays. Blocking 55% of heat and 53% of glare is going to make the bedroom and bathroom significantly more comfortable without having to use shades or air conditioning. As mentioned earlier, ceramic window tint doesn’t contain any metal or dye, which means the aesthetics of the home aren’t going to drastically change and the views aren’t going to be hindered at all. The homeowner can only install the ceramic window tint to the master bedroom and bathroom and won’t have to worry that the home is going to look off from the exterior.

Results of the Window Film Installation

The homeowner felt this ceramic window tint was exactly what they were looking for and decided to move forward with the master bedroom and bathroom installation. Our installation crew went on-site and removed the old window film and replaced it with the ceramic window tint. The installation ended up being 335 square feet of window film and took two days to complete. In addition to ceramic window tint and solar film, American Window Film also services decorative window film, custom graphics, anti-graffiti film, window security film, and exterior building wraps throughout the West Coast.
