American Window Film installed decorative window film to hospital elevators in Pasadena, California! We talk a lot about window film to reduce heat and to reduce glare, but we also do a lot of really cool decorative window film installations, like this one! The hospital was tired of the elevator doors being outdated and an eyesore. They were looking for an upgrade on all of the elevator doors without having to replace them entirely. The hospital works with a contractor who also does a lot of work with American Window Film. The contractor suggested reaching out to American Window Film to see if there is a window film on the market that could help achieve the hospital's goals, and that’s what they did. American Window Film worked closely with the contractor to upgrade the elevator doors in the hospital. Keep on reading to learn the full details of the installation!
American Window Film’s goals were to work with the contractor to find a window film solution that would upgrade the elevators throughout the hospital. Our sales representative met with a contractor at the hospital to take a look at the elevator doors and to learn the specifics for the project. When he got to the hospital he instantly saw why the hospital was looking for an upgrade. The elevator doors looked dated and were an eyesore. Our sales representative spoke with the contractor about the specific details of the project and learned that the hospital was looking for a natural finish for the elevator doors that would be a modern upgrade.
After working with the contractor and learning about the project details, our sales representative suggested a decorative window film called Di-Noc-PA-183. Di-Noc-PA-183 resembles natural materials and is installed the same way as regular window film. It has the same adhesive back that sticks right to the elevator surface. Not to mention, it’s a fraction of the cost of replacing the elevator doors themselves. You might be wondering how it is going to adhere to the elevator because it isn’t a glass surface. Another cool benefit of this window film is that it can be installed to a variety of surfaces including walls, panels, and more. It will give the elevators a modern look without having to replace the doors themselves. Our sales representative suggested this decorative window film because he felt that it would achieve all of the customer’s goals.
After talking with the contractor, the customer decided to move forward with the Di-Noc-PA-183 because he too felt like it achieved exactly what they were looking for. It has a natural look and is a cost-effective way to upgrade the hospital. You can see from the photos what the elevators looked like before and what they looked like after the Di-Noc-PA-183 was installed.
The customer decided to install the decorative window film to the outside of the elevator doors throughout the hospital. The installation ended up being 90 square feet and took a team of installers two days to complete. In addition to Di-Noc-PA-183 and decorative window film, American Window Film also services solar film, custom graphics, window security film, anti-graffiti film, and exterior building wraps.
