American Window Film installed custom graphics to a semiconductor supplier company in San Diego, California! This is a large business that has a large office. Within the office, there is a lot of glass in the private offices, conference rooms, and doors. The owner of the business was experiencing a few different problems within the office. The first problem was the lack of naming throughout the office. There were no labels of what office belonged to who or what each room was. The owner of the business explained that a lot of customers enter the building and have difficulty finding where they are supposed to go. The second problem the customer was having was a lack of privacy. The business owner explained that he didn’t want people walking by to be able to see through some of the glass in the office. With that being said, he was looking for a way to clearly label different spaces throughout the office as well as increase privacy. The business owner had a friend who worked with American Window Film in the past for a similar scope of work. He recommended that he reached out to us to get a free consultation to see if we could help him as well!
American Window Film's Goals
American Window Film’s goals for this project were to meet with the customer at the business to take a look at the glass in question as well as discuss how window film can help them solve the issues they are having. When our sales representative was onsite meeting with the customer, he asked detailed questions to learn as much about the project as possible. The business owner explained the lack of privacy and the lack of labeled rooms. He also expressed possible wanting to include a custom design on the glass, as well as incorporate the company logo for branding purposes. From there, our sales representative described all of the services we offer and what they all look like.

After hearing that the customer was looking to label rooms, increase privacy, add a custom design, and install logos throughout the office space, our sales representative felt that custom graphics were the best option because they can accomplish all of those tasks. Our sales representative suggested that the customer cust the custom graphics out of an opaque window film so that way there will be increased privacy. Our in-house graphics department can cut the room names, logo, and custom design out of the opaque window film.
What the Customer Chose
After the business owner met with our sales representative and learned about all of the different directions he can go in with window film, he decided to take our sales representative’s suggestion and move forward with the custom graphics because they are able to fix all of the problems he was having. From there, the customer worked closely to come up with the custom design that you see in the photos. The graphic incorporated who they are as a company and what they do. From there, our graphics department helped the customer come up with the plan for the entire custom graphic that would make their vision come to life.
Results of the Installation
This custom graphic installation ended up being 3 panes and 45 square feet. It took our installation crew 3 hours to complete. The final graphic has the custom design installed on the top part of the glass, the company logo in the bottom left corner, and the room name in the bottom right corner. The customer decided to have the custom graphic installed in one private office, the employee entrance, and the visitor entrance. The business owner was really happy with the results of the installation because we were able to help him increase privacy, add a custom design, brand the business, and label rooms all with custom graphics for an affordable price.
