American Window Film installed custom graphics to an office in Irvine, California! The company has a large office space and they were having some problems with the copy/mailroom. It's a spacious room that is home to a ton of equipment and has a ton of glass surrounding it. The customer was looking for a way to increase privacy and add a decorative design to the space. The business owner felt that the equipment was unsightly to look at and wanted something that would act as a distraction to people walking by. With that being said, the customer came across American Window Film’s website after doing research and found both our custom graphics page and our decorative window film page. He decided out to us for a free consultation to see if window film would be a good solution for the copy/mailroom.
American Window Film's Goals
American Window Film’s goals for this project were to meet with the customer at the office and to educate them on what their different window film options are. Our sales representative out of our Orange County location met with the business owner at the office to take a look at the copy/mailroom. As soon as he got there, he could immediately tell what the business owner was talking about. The space had a ton of glass and had no privacy whatsoever. While onsite, our sales representative talked with the business owner about what he was looking for specifically. The business owner explained that he was looking to increase privacy and add a decorative design to that room.

American Window Film's Suggestions
After talking with the business owner and hearing what specifically he was hoping for in the mail/copy room, our sales representative made a few suggestions. Decorative window film like a frosted window film would definitely increase privacy and it could also add a decorative design if you install it in bands or partial coverage. The business owner liked the idea of a frosted window film and he also liked the idea of installing bands. From there, our sales representative explained that American Window Film has an in-house graphics department that uses a frosted window film and adds more of a custom design if that is what the customer is interested in.
What the Customer Chose
After working with our sales representative, the customer liked the idea of going the custom graphics route and decided to move forward with that! From there, he worked closely with our graphics department to get the final product figured out! Whether you know what the custom graphic to look like or you don't, our graphics department can help you through every step of the way! After working with our graphics department, the customer decided to cut the graphics out of 3M Dusted Crystal, which looks very similar to a frosted window film. They installed a 42” band of dusted crystal with 2” bands and reveals up the glass. This both increased privacy and added a custom design to the mail/copy room.
Results of the Installation
This installation was 72 square feet of custom graphics and took a team of installers 3 hours to complete. Overall, American Window Film thought this installation was a success because we were able to help the customer both increase privacy and add a custom design to their copy/mailroom.
