Commercial Window Tinting in Los Angeles, California

American Window Film installed decorative window film and solar film in an office in Los Angeles, California! This is a large company that has multiple buildings in their Las Angeles location. With that being said, they have an office warehouse that is home to 15 private offices, conference rooms, and more. The business owner was having a few different problems with the office warehouse including significant heat and glare problems as well as decorative problems. The customer was doing research online to try and figure out a potential solution to the heat and glare problems when he came across American Window Film’s website. From our website, he learned that solar film can help reduce heat/reduce glare. He also learned that decorative window film and custom graphics can help with decorative issues. The cool thing about window film is that it can help solve a variety of different problems just like the ones this customer is experiencing. From there the customer requested a free consultation from American Window Film to learn more about the products and see if it could help with the issues being experienced in the office warehouse!

American Window Film's Goals

American Window Film’s goals for this project were to meet with the customer at the warehouse office and explain solar film, decorative window film, and custom graphics and the benefits they offer. Our priority was to help the customer decide whether or not window film is the right decision for them and if it is, which window film is the best fit for their needs. Our Las Angeles sales representative met with the customer at the office to take a look at the rooms in question. When he got on-site, the customer started by explaining that a few of the private offices and conference rooms got unbearably hot in the afternoon and the afternoon glare reflects off of computer and TV screens making meetings difficult. When talking about the heat and glare, he added that while they do want to reduce heat and reduce glare, they don’t want to completely cover up the glass or lose views outside. They still wanted the natural light to come through and they wanted the office to be as welcoming and inviting as possible. From there, the customer explained that the elevators in the office warehouse are old and outdated. He was looking for a way to give them a fresh and modern look but didn’t want anything colorful or distracting.

American Window Film's Suggestions

After our sales representative met with the customer and got a better understanding of what he was looking for, he was able to make some suggestions that he thought would be a good fit for the customer and the scope of work. When it comes to solar film for heat and glare, our sales representative suggested a ceramic window tint for a few reasons. He suggested ceramic window tint because it is high-performing. It reduces a significant amount of both heat and glare, which was the customer’s priority. Ceramic window tint also contains no metals or dye, which means that natural light will still come through the glass and they won’t lose any views outside. As for the elevators, since the customer didn’t want anything distracting or custom, our sales representative suggested a decorative window film rather than custom graphics.

What the Customer Chose

Once the customer met with our sales representative, he felt that he had a good understanding of the window film options available on the market and that he knew the direction he wanted to go in. He decided to take our sales representative’s suggestion and move forward with the ceramic window tint on four private offices and a conference room in the office warehouse. He decided to go with Huper Optik ceramic 60. This ceramic window tint blocks 43% of heat, 34% of glare, and 99% of ultraviolet rays. Blocking 43% of heat is going to make a significant difference in the afternoon and will help with the comfort of employees. Blocking 34% of glare is going to help with the productivity and efficiency of those meetings and conferences. For the elevator decorative window film, he worked more with our sales representative and decided to go with a matte blackout window film. He chose this window film because it is modern-looking and isn’t distracting or overwhelming.

Results of the Window Film Installation

This installation ended up being quite large. It was 35 panes and 747 square feet of solar film and decorative window film were installed. It took 4 days for a team of installers to complete.
