American Window Film’s goals for this project were to meet with the customer at the restaurant to talk with them about the different heat reducing window film and glare reducing window film that is available on the market and the benefits of each of them. From there, our sales representative showed the customer samples of the window film so they could hold it up to the glass to get an idea of what it will look like when it’s installed. Our sales representative also took exact measurements of the glass in question to get the customer an accurate quote.
After meeting with the customer, our sales representative learned that they wanted maximum heat and glare rejection, but they didn’t want to lose visibility into the store. The restaurant wanted its customers to still fully be able to see in through the windows. After hearing what the customer was looking for, our sales representative suggested Huper Optik ceramic window tint for the drive-thru windows. She suggested ceramic window tint because it is a high performing window film that is going to significantly reduce heat and reduce glare from entering the store. It also doesn’t contain any metal or dye, which means it isn’t going to drastically change the look of the building and customers will still have full visibility into the restaurant.
After meeting with our sales representative and hearing the different available options, they decided to take her suggestion and go with Huper Optik ceramic window tint. Even more specifically, they chose to install ceramic 30 (C30) to the drive-thru slider windows and the upper windows above the drive-thru sliders. This ceramic window tint blocks 63% of heat, 62% of glare, and 99% of ultraviolet rays. Blocking this amount of heat and glare will significantly increase employee comfort and will make the restaurant a cooler space to work in. Not to mention, an added benefit is blocking 99% of ultraviolet rays. These ultraviolet rays are the leading cause of sun fading, so the customer can have peace of mind knowing that the inside of the store is being protected from the sun.
This installation ended up being six panes of ceramic window tint and was 29 square feet. It took one installer two hours to complete from start to finish. Overall, American Window Film was pleased with the outcome of this installation. We were able to help the customer find a window film that solved their heat and glare issues without losing visibility into the store. In addition to solar film and ceramic window tint, American Window Film also services decorative window film, custom graphics, anti-graffiti film, window security film, and exterior building wraps.
