Ceramic Window Tint at a Home in Laguna Niguel, California

American Window Film installed ceramic window tint to a home in Laguna Niguel, California! The homeowner was having an issue with heat and glare in a few rooms throughout the home. To help fix this problem, the customer thought of installing blinds and shades but then realized that they can’t be applied to a few of the windows in question and she didn’t want to make the home dark and uninviting. In doing more research on window treatments and window solutions, she came across window film as a solution, solar film in particular. American Window Film's Goals

American Window Film’s goals for this project were the same as all of our other installations: learn the specific details of the project, learn what the customer was looking for exactly, and help recommend window film products that will help the customer achieve their goals. Our sales representative in our Orange County location set up a time to meet with the homeowner at the home to take a look at the problematic glass. When he arrived, the homeowner explained that the glass in the kitchen, office, and one of the bathrooms lets in a significant amount of heat and glare, making the rooms uncomfortable to be in. The homeowner continued to explain that she wanted a high performing glare reducing and heat reducing window film that wouldn’t change the look of the home. Since it is only a few of the windows in the home that are causing problems, she didn’t want a reflective window film that was going to change the look of the home from the exterior.

What American Window Film Suggested

After talking with the customer and learning more about what she was looking for in window film, our sales representative suggested the Huper Optik ceramic window tint line. He suggested this window film line because it doesn’t contain any metal or dye, which means the look of the home isn’t going to drastically change. Our sales representative also suggested this window film because it is high performing and it will reduce heat and reduce glare. From there, our sales representative showed the customer samples of the ceramic window tint line so she could see the specifications, what each of them look like, and hold it up to the glass. Our sales representative also showed her samples of other window film options she can go with so she could compare them and choose the best window film for her and her home. 

What the Customer Chose

After talking with our sales representative and learning about the different window film options available on the market, the customer decided to take his suggestion and go with a Huper Optik ceramic window tint! After seeing each of the options in the Huper Optik ceramic window tint line, the customer went with Ceramic 40. This ceramic window tint blocks 55% of heat, 53% of glare, and 99% of ultraviolet rays. Blocking 55% of the heat and 53% of heat will make a noticeable difference in the rooms with the problematic windows. The customer will experience less heat and less glare without losing natural light or changing the look of the home. A bonus is that ceramic window tint blocks 99% of ultraviolet rays, which are the leading cause of sun fading. Ceramic window tint reduces sun fading on the customer’s furniture and flooring. 

Results of the Window Film Installation

The customer decided to move forward with ceramic window tint on all of the problematic windows in the kitchen, office, and bathroom. The installation ended up being 177 square feet of ceramic window tint and one of our installers 7 hours to complete. The customer was very happy with the results of the installation because we were able to successfully help her find a high performing window film that reduces heat and reduces glare without compromising natural light or changing the aesthetics of the home.
