Are you having problems with everyday wear and tear scratching or graffiti? If so, this case study is for you! American Window Film installed anti-graffiti film to a mall in Culver City, California. The facilities manager in charge of the mall grounds was having a problem with general wear and tear scratches to the mall entrances. People’s keys rubbing against the glass, scratches from shoes, etc. was giving the mall an unsightly look. The facilities manager had replaced the entrance glass in the past, but it was extremely expensive and the glass ended up getting scratched again. He had worked with American Window Film in the past on another project and wondered if we had a window film solution that would help with the scratching issue. He reached out and requested a free consultation with our sales representative to learn more about his window film options!
American Window Film’s goal for this project was to meet with the facility manager at the mall to take a look at the entrances and help find the best solution, so that’s what we did! Our sales representative out of our Los Angeles office met with the facilities manager at the mall to get a better understanding of the scope of work. When he got there he could see what the facility manager was talking about. Wear and tear scratching as well as intentional scratching with keys on both the interior and exterior of the glass. Our sales representative agreed that it was unsightly and could understand why the facilities manager was looking for a solution.
As soon as our sales representative saw the scratching on the mall entrances he knew that an anti-graffiti film was going to be the best solution. Anti-graffiti film is an optically clear window film solution, which means that people aren’t even going to notice it’s there. There will still be full visibility into and out of the mall. Anti-graffiti film is a thick window film that is going to protect the glass from different kinds of vandalism like graffiti, etching, scratching, and more. If the glass does get damaged, the window film takes the wrath, not the glass. If damaged, anti-graffiti film can easily be removed and replaced with a fresh new layer for a fraction of the cost of replacing the glass itself.
After meeting with our sales representative, he took our sales representative’s suggestion and agreed that it was the perfect solution for the mall entrances. The facilities manager worked with our sales representative on selecting the right anti-graffiti film and they decided to move forward with Madico 6 mil graffiti for the entrances.
This installation ended up being 33 panes of glass and 545 square feet of anti-graffiti film installation. It took a team of installers a total of 12 hours to complete. The facilities manager was extremely pleased with the outcome of the installation because the anti-graffiti film is going to protect the entrance glass from damage and is an affordable solution. In addition to anti-graffiti film, American Window Film also services solar film, decorative window film, custom graphics, window security film, and exterior building wraps.
