To do this, our sales representative met the customer at the home to take a look at the problem windows, get exact measurements, and show them different solar film samples that might be a good fit for their home. When our sales representative first got to the house, he checked out the windows in question and he instantly saw exactly what the customer was talking about. The home felt hot, he could see the glare reflecting off the TV, and he saw that the floors were starting to get faded from the sun. He asked the homeowner more specific questions about what they were looking for in window film. The homeowner explained that they didn’t want to lose their views outside or darken the home, which is why blinds and shades weren’t a good fit. The homeowner also explained that they were looking for a window film that wouldn’t drastically change the aesthetics or look of the home since they weren’t going to install window film to every window throughout the home.

American Window Film's Suggestions

After seeing the problematic windows and hearing what the customer was looking for specifically, our sales representative suggested the 3M Prestige series. He suggested this window film line because it will help reduce heat, reduce glare, and protect against sun fading, without drastically changing the look of the home. The 3M Prestige line will help make the home more energy-efficient and even lower electricity bills. Our sales representative started by educating the customer on the 3M Prestige line and explaining the benefits. He showed them different samples within the line so they could hold them up to their glass and get an idea of what it will look like. What the Customer Chose

After hearing our sales representative’s suggestions and learning about the different solar films and the benefits they offer, the customer decided to go with our sales representative’s suggestion and install a 3M Prestige window film. Specifically, they chose 3M Prestige 60. 3M Prestige 60 blocks 53% of heat, 32% of glare, and 99% of UVA and UVB rays. Blocking 53% of heat from entering the home is going to make the home noticeably cooler and more comfortable. Cooling the home through window film is going to mean using the air conditioner less, which ultimately is going to lower the electricity bill and make the home more energy-efficient. Blocking 32% of glare is going to make working from home and watching TV easier and more enjoyable for everyone. Finally, this 99% of UVA and UVB rays are the leading cause of sun fading. Blocking 99% of these ultraviolet rays is going to extend the lifespan of the hardwood floors and furniture by protecting them against sun fading. 3M Prestige 60 not only enhances comfort in the home it also enhances their outside views and overall beauty of the home. Results of the Window Film Installation

The homeowner decided to install 3M Prestige 60 to the dining room, kitchen, and living room since that’s where most of the problems were coming from. This installation ended up being 100 square feet of 3M Prestige 60 installed.
