American Window Film installed window security film to the Seneca Center in Anaheim, California! The facilities director is turning the space into a temporary home for foster children and needed American Window Film’s help providing extra safety from glass breakage as well as increased security to prevent the children from breaking out. The facilities manager came across American Window Film after doing research online for ways to increase safety and security. She read about window security film on our website and decided to reach out for a free consultation to learn more about the product and see if it would be a good fit.
American Window Film’s goals for this project were first to meet with the customer and teach her about window security film and all of the benefits it has to offer so she can decide if it’s a good fit for her center. After teaching her about window security film, if the facilities director decided that it was a good fit for the center, American Window Film’s goal was to help her find the right window security film that would increase security and prevent glass breakage.
After meeting with the customer and talking with her about what window security film is, the facilities director decided that window security film was the perfect fit for the center and wanted to move forward. From there, our sales representative asked her more questions about what she was looking for specifically, which is when she mentioned she was looking for a product that would provide safety from glass breakage and strengthen the glass to prevent anyone from breaking out. After our sales representative learned more about what the customer was looking for specifically, she was ready to make some suggestions. For this scope of work, our sales representative recommended Madico 8 mil clear security window film or Madico Safety Shield 800 window security film. She recommended either of these options because they are both going to increase safety and security, prolong forced entry time, which will make breaking out more difficult, as well as strengthen the glass and protect against glass shattering.
After meeting with our sales representative and learning about the different options available, the facilities director decided to move forward with Madico Safety Shield 800. Ultimately, she chose this window security film option because it has more tensile strength and will provide maximum safety protection from shattered glass, mitigating injury and damage. In general, window security film strengthens glass by 2-3 times. By strengthening glass, window security film prolongs forced entry time. What this means is that it is going to take more force to break through. This allows more time for help to arrive. Window security film also holds shattered glass together. If the glass is impacted, the security film contains it instead of letting it fly everywhere, which greatly increases safety. When installed with a silicone attachment, security film strengthens your glass even more. It’s a cost-effective and easy addition to your already existing security system that will give you peace of mind that your space is safe and secure.
The facilities director decided to move forward with the Madico window security film on 31 doors and windows throughout the center. It took a two-person crew 7 hours to complete. Overall, American Window Film was happy with how the installation turned out because we were able to help the facilities director find a window security film that was the perfect fit for her center and would strengthen glass and increase safety and security. In addition to window security film, American Window Film also services solar film, decorative window film, window graphics, wall graphics, anti-graffiti film, and exterior building wraps.
