She recommended either of these options because they are both going to increase safety and security, prolong forced entry time, which will make breaking out more difficult, as well as strengthen the glass and protect against glass shattering.

What the Customer Chose

After meeting with our sales representative and learning about the different options available, the facilities director decided to move forward with Madico Safety Shield 800. Ultimately, she chose this window security film option because it has more tensile strength and will provide maximum safety protection from shattered glass, mitigating injury and damage. In general, window security film strengthens glass by 2-3 times. By strengthening glass, window security film prolongs forced entry time. What this means is that it is going to take more force to break through. This allows more time for help to arrive. Window security film also holds shattered glass together. If the glass is impacted, the security film contains it instead of letting it fly everywhere, which greatly increases safety. When installed with a silicone attachment, security film strengthens your glass even more.
