American Window Film installed both window graphics and wall graphics to two Military Recruitment Centers in Los Angeles, California! The first installation was at one of their office buildings and the second installation was at one of their store mall locations. American Window Film has worked with Military Recruitment Centers in the past for different window film services. These two locations were both looking for storefront window graphics to send their company message to potential recruits in the area.
The mall store location was also interested in wall graphics inside the store for even more branding and awareness. American Window Film worked directly with the Military Recruitment Center for the office location and we were awarded the mall installation through a general contractor. Since both of these installations involve custom graphics, our in-house graphics production manager, Jamie, and our operations manager, Chris, were very involved with these projects from start to finish. Keep on reading to learn more about what these projects entailed!
American Window Film’s goals for these two projects were to work with the construction company and the customer to help with the window tinting needs and abide by any rules and guidelines the company has. Our sales representative worked with the construction company and the Military Recruitment Center to get the measurements of the windows and the walls, go over design, and learn the specific details of both projects.
When our team met and talked with the construction company and the Military Recruitment Center we learned that the number one priority is to increase privacy and build awareness through branding. The Military Recruitment Center has strict company guidelines on what images are to be used in the window graphics and the wall graphics. The Military Recruitment Center had the design already created for the window graphics, but they weren’t sure what specific design they wanted for the wall graphics.
Since the customer was looking for a way to increase privacy and still have visibility out of the glass, our entire team thought a 50/50 window perforated window film would be a great fit for the window graphics. Using a 50/50 perforated window film allows you to print an image on top of it and still have the ability to see out of the glass. This accomplishes all three goals of wanting to increase privacy, brand the space, and still have the ability to see out.
Both the general contractor and the Military Recruitment Center decided to go with American Window Film’s suggestion and use the 50/50 perforated window film for all of the window graphics at both locations. They had the window graphic design already created and sent it over to Jamie and the graphics department to bring to reality! Jamie had to reconfigure and rework the design to fit the glass windows and sent over a proof for the customers to approve. The proof shows the customer what the window graphic is going to look like so they can make any changes or adjustments before the actual installation.
Since the mall location didn’t have a complete design ready for the wall graphic, Jamie worked very closely with them to get an understanding of what they were looking for. From there, he used the approved Military Recruitment Center images and created the wall graphic. He sent over the proof to the customer to approve or make any changes they wanted. The customer was pleased with the custom wall graphic design Jamie created and felt it captured who they are and what they do!
Both window graphics and wall graphics give you the flexibility to create anything you want for your commercial space. You can use an already existing image or you can create your own design. You can use custom graphics to brand or market your commercial business. You can install your company logo or hours on the storefront or you can install your company's mission statement in the building to remind everyone what you are all about. The options are endless!
If you don’t know what kind of custom graphic you want specifically, our in-house graphics team can work with you, just like we did for this customer’s wall graphic, to walk you through every step of the way and help you figure out and create the perfect custom graphic for your space! Both window graphics and wall graphics can be a temporary design or a more permanent design because they stay adhered to the surfaces for long periods but they can also be removed if need be.
These two installations combined ended up being 481 square feet of window graphics and 89 square feet of wall graphics. Both of these projects were a success because we were able to help the customer show off who they are and what they do through the window graphics and wall graphics, as well as create privacy without losing views out of the glass!
In addition to window graphics, wall graphics, and custom graphics, American Window Film also services decorative window film, solar film, anti-graffiti film, security window film, and exterior building wraps.
