American Window Film’s top priority for this project was to remove the damaged existing window film and replace it with a new window film that met the customer’s needs. To do this, one of our sales representatives out of our Orange County office met the customer on-site to take a look at the damaged film, take exact measurements, and show the business owner the different window film options available to choose from.  

American Window Film's Suggestions:

While onsite, our sales representative got a good understanding of what the customer was looking for specifically. The business owner expressed that their biggest concern is the look of the damaged window film. She also talked about how they would like the look of the window film if it wasn’t damaged and how they would like something similar in appearance. The business owner went on to explain that the purpose of the window film was mostly for aesthetic and privacy purposes, as well as heat reduction purposes. They didn’t want people to easily be able to see into the office and they also wanted to reduce heat to keep the space cool and comfortable all year round. After our sales representative learned more about what the business owner was looking for, he was ready to make some suggestions. Since the business owner wanted a window film that looked similar to the existing film and would increase privacy and reduce heat, he suggested Edge Silver 30.

What the Customer Chose

After the business owner met with our sales representative and learned about the different window films available and what benefits they offer, she decided to take his suggestion and move forward with the Edge Silver 30. This is a reflective window film, which means that from the outside it looks like a mirror and people will have a difficult time seeing in, but people looking out won’t be hindered at all. This solar film blocks 79% of heat, 60% of glare, and 99% of ultraviolet rays. It is going to make a noticeable difference in the temperature of the office space.

Results of the Window Film Installation

Overall, this installation was a success. We were able to figure out what the customer was looking for specifically and make it happen. We were able to successfully remove the damaged and unsightly existing window film and replace it with a fresh window film that has a similar appearance, reduces heat, reduces glare, protects against ultraviolet rays, and increases privacy. This installation ended up being 3 panes and 71 square feet of installation. It took one of our expert installers 2 hours to complete.
