Are you looking for increased privacy in your office space? If so, American Window Film just did an install for increased conference room and entry privacy! This was a gradient window film installation at an office in Newport Beach, California. The business owner just had new glass installed throughout the entire office and loved the way it turned out, except for the lack of privacy in the conference room and the entry of the building. With that being said, he was looking for a way to increase privacy in the conference room and the entry of the building without completely compromising natural light and views outside. He researched different window treatments online to see if there is anything that would work for this project when he came across American Window Film’s website and window film. The business owner had heard about window film but didn’t know much about it. He decided to reach out to American Window Film for a free consultation to learn more about window film and see if it would be a good fit for his office space.
American Window Film’s goals for this project were to educate the customer on the different window film options available to him and to help him find the best solution for his office space. To do this, our sales representative met him at the office to take a look at the glass that was causing the problems. When he got onsite the first thing he noticed was all of the beautiful new glass that was installed throughout the office. The business owner explained that he wanted to maintain the clean look that the glass gave as well as maintain the integrity of the glass because it was expensive to install and he didn’t just want to cover it up. He was looking for a way to still allow natural light in while increasing privacy because right now these two areas feel like a fishbowl where anyone walking by can see straight in.
Before Gradient Window Film
After Gradient Window Film
After our sales representative met with the customer and learned more details about the project and what he was looking for specifically, he had a suggestion in mind that he felt would be a great fit for this office space. Our sales representative suggested a custom gradient window film for the entry and the conference room in the office space. Gradient window film is a type of window film that is opaque at one end and clear on the other end. There are gradient window films available on the market that the customer could choose from, but our sales representative thought a custom gradient window film from our in-house graphics department would be a better fit. With a custom gradient window film, the customer has the flexibility to create the opacity level and where he wants the opaque portion to start and finish. Gradient window film will allow the customer to increase privacy in the conference room, allow in natural light, and maintain the clean look of the office.
Once the customer met with our sales representative and learned about all of the different window film options available, he felt he was ready to make a decision for his office space. He not only felt that window film is the perfect solution for the office space, he decided to go with our sales representatives' suggestion and move forward with the custom gradient window film for the office entry and conference room because it gives him the best of both worlds. From there, the business owner worked with our graphics department to figure out exactly where he wanted the opaque portion of the gradient to start and finish. Since the customer was looking for increased privacy and as much natural light as possible, he decided to only have the opaque portion of the gradient be at eye level and have the top and bottom of the glass be completely transparent. This way, people walking by can’t see into the meeting or what is happening, but you can still see out of the glass and see the trees outside of the building. When it comes to custom graphics, you have the flexibility to create anything you want for your space. If you are unsure of what you are looking for, our graphics team can help you every step of the way. Once the gradient was finalized, we were ready to move forward with the installation!
This installation ended up being 6 panes and 126 square feet of custom gradient window film installed throughout the office. It took a team of installers 6 hours to complete. Overall, American Window Film is very pleased with the outcome of this installation. We were able to help the customer find a window film solution that increased privacy, still allowed natural light in, and maintained the clean look of the office. In addition to gradient window film and custom graphics, American Window Film also services solar film, decorative window film, anti-graffiti film, window security film, and exterior building wraps.
