American Window Film's Goals

American Window Film’s goals for this project were to first meet with the business owner and learn more about the project and what she was looking for so we can make the right recommendations to her...so that’s what we did! One of our sales representatives out of our Los Angeles met with the business owner on-site to get a better understanding of what she was looking for, take a look at the glass in question, get exact measurements, and make some recommendations. While onsite with the customer, our business owner learned that most of the offices needed the custom graphics for privacy purposes as well as the conference room and a few doors. The business owner also explained that there were a few rooms that needed maximum privacy and she was interested in possibly getting the company logo installed on a few doors throughout the office. The business owner mentioned that it was important to have a cohesive look throughout the office space.  

American Window Film's Suggestions:

Once our sales representative met with the business owner, he had a good understanding of what she was looking for and was ready to make recommendations. Since the customer was looking for custom graphics for privacy and branding purposes, he suggested using 3M Frosted Crystal, because it is going to accomplish just that. For the offices that didn’t need the maximum amount of privacy, our sales representative suggested installing privacy bands that would hinder people’s ability to see in while still allowing natural light in and adding a decorative factor to the space. For the offices that require the maximum amount of privacy, our sales representative suggested installing full coverage 3M Frosted Crystal to prevent people from seeing in or out of the office. For the doors, our representative suggested installing the company logo for people to see walking by. All of these different custom graphics would be cut out of the 3M Frosted Crystal to maintain that cohesive look the business owner was looking for.

What the Customer Chose

After meeting with our sales representative and hearing his suggestions and what’s available on the market, she decided to take all of his suggestions! The business owner agreed that 3M Frosted Crystal was the perfect fit after seeing samples of it. This is a type of decorative window film that looks similar to a frosted window film and can easily be used for custom graphics. It is going to prevent people from seeing through it from both directions. It has a clean subtle look that isn’t going to drastically change the aesthetics of the office. For the offices that didn’t require the maximum amount of privacy, the business owner decided she would like to cut the 3M Frosted Crystal into different bands so that she could get privacy where she needed it but still allow natural light. For the offices that require the maximum amount of privacy, the business owner decided to take our sales representative’s suggestion and install full-coverage 3M Frosted Crystal to prevent people from being able to see in or out. Finally, for the two sliding doors, the customer decided to install the company logo centered on both panes so people walking by the building can easily see it and the company is being advertised and branded 24/7. Custom graphics can be a more permanent solution in the sense that they can withstand time, but they can also be a more temporary solution in the sense that they can easily be removed if need be. Custom graphics give you the flexibility to create any type of graphic you want and they are an affordable building upgrade.

Results of the Window Film Installation

This installation ended up being 697 square feet of custom graphics and took a team of two installers four days to complete. Overall, American Window Film felt this installation was a success! We were able to successfully help the customer increase privacy, add a decorative design, brand the company, all while maintaining a cohesive look.
