American Window Film’s goals were to meet with the general contractor to get an idea of what the customer was looking for and to make recommendations to find the perfect window film for this new office space. To do this, our sales representative met with the general contractor at the office space to take a look at the newly installed glass and to learn more about what the customer wanted out of window film. The general contractor explained that the customer’s main goal was to increase privacy in the private offices and conference rooms. He didn’t want to cover the entire pane of glass because he still wanted some visibility and natural light in the rooms. The general contractor also explained that the customer was also potentially interested in getting something more custom in the conference room.
After meeting with the general contractor and learning more about the project, our sales representative was ready to make some suggestions. Since the customer’s main goal was to increase privacy, our sales representative thought that a decorative window film would be the best option. As for the custom design in the conference room, our in-house graphics team can use the same decorative window film and create a custom design with it. From there, our sales representative showed different samples of decorative window film that the customer can choose from.
The customer agreed that decorative window film will be the best fit for this project, and after seeing the different options available, they decided to move forward with Solyx Shimera. This is a type of decorative window film that looks like frosted window film and has a similar appearance to etched glass. It will increase privacy and prevent people from seeing into or out of the glass. Since the customer didn’t want full coverage, our sales representative told the customer that our installation team can cut the decorative window film into bands on-site for partial coverage. The customer decided that for the conference room, they wanted lines to be cut out of the decorative window film. Our in-house graphics department can use the same decorative window film to match the other glass and cut lines out of it to create that custom decorative look.
The customer decided to move forward with the decorative window film on the phone room and nine private offices. The customer decided to move forward with the window graphics on two conference rooms. This installation ended up being 79 panes, 1,087 square feet of window film installation and took two installers 16 hours to complete. American Window Film was pleased with the outcome of the installation because we were able to find a window film that increases privacy and our graphics department was able to give the customer a custom design in the conference rooms. In addition to decorative window film and window graphics, American Window Film also services solar film, wall graphics, anti-graffiti film, window security film, and exterior building wraps.
